McConnell <br />COPIES: <br />TYPE OF APPLICATION: Variances/Conditional Use Permit <br />DATE OF MEETING: 11/18/96 VOTE: 5 FOR 0 AGAINST <br />Planning Commission recommends the following: <br />Denial for reasons noted below. <br />NOTES AND SPECIAL CONDITIONS: <br />Planning Commission's discussion indicated the following general reasons for denial: <br />Bluff removal is inconsistent with Comprehensive Plan goals and policies. <br />Hardships presented are self-created and inadequate to support an approval <br />recommendation. <br />Safety concerns may be addressed in other ways. <br />At the November 18 meeting, applicant requested that Council review of this item be delayed <br />until the future Council meeting at which both Applications #2195 and #2196 can be heard <br />together. That date is likely to be Monday, February 10, 1997. Because the 60-day <br />application review period would normally expire on January 25, 1997, the review period is <br />hereby extended to February 12, 1997. <br />If you desire certified copies of the official Planning Commission minutes, they are available <br />from the City Recorder after review and approval by the Planning Commission.
