It is understood that the feasibility of <br />this site as a park and ride facility is not currently resolved. The State has agreed <br />to investigate the feasibility of this site for a park and ride lot and/or other possible <br />transportation uses if requested by the city. The State will also investigate the <br />feasibility of properties abutting Virginia Avenue as a possible replacement for <br />public lands acquired from the City in conjunction with the proposed project if so <br />requested by the City. <br />9. Noise It is understood that the City has requested the State to use the <br />best available technology to ensure that noise levels are not increased by the <br />presence of the new road. The State has agreed to perform a noise study to measure <br />current noise levels. The State will employ reasonably available noise mitigation <br />measures. Furthermore, the State has agreed to work with the City and the <br />neighborhoods to design the project in such a way as to niminiize noise and visual <br />impacts to the greatest extent possible. ^ <br />lOa. Renaming TH 12 to Long Lake Boulevard It is understood that the <br />City is requesting that TH 12 be renamed “Long Lake Boulevard” between the <br />proposed interchanges with new TH 12. It is also understood that the State will turn <br />back “old TH 12" to Hennepin County and that the County will have responsibility <br />for cmy changes in name.
