It is also understood that the City has requested the State to use its best <br />efforts to relocate those persons displaced within or adjacent to Long l ake, <br />including moving existing homes to new locations. The State will provide relocation <br />assistance to persons and businesses displaced by this project as required by Minn. <br />State. 117.52 et seq., the Uniform Relocation Act. The State will use its best <br />efforts to relocate those persons who so wish to housing within or adjacent to the <br />City. If replacement housing is not available in or directly adjacent to the City, the <br />State will seek to relocate people who so wish to other available housing within the <br />Orono School District. The State will use all avenues available under Minn. Stat. <br />117.52 et seq. the Uniform Relocation Act, including Last Resort Housing, as a part <br />of its efforts to achieve these ends. <br />8. Virginia Avenue It is understood that the City has requested the State to acquire <br />all properties abutting Virginia Avenue. It is understood that the State can only <br />purchase the properties for which it can demonstrate a transportation use or for <br />replacement property or relocations in certain circumstances.
