The Sheriffs Office is looking for a representative cross section of the community to participate <br />in this unique educational experience. Applicants must be twenty-one (21) years old. Due to the <br />nature of the material presented, all applicants will be screened for criminal backgrounds. <br />Classes will be held on Thursday nights from 7i00 to 9;30 p.m. for 8 weeks. The first night of <br />class will be February 6,1997 and will run through March 27,1997. The location of the closes <br />will depend upon the geographic location of the majority of the applicants, however, we will <br />conduct one class each at the Law Enforcement Training Facility in Maple Grove, the Sheriffs <br />Communications Division in Golden Valley and the Sheriffs Patrol headquarters in Brooklyn <br />Park. <br />When each student successfully graduates, a certificate of completion will be awarded at a formal <br />commencement ceremony. <br />Please share this invitation with your city council and other city officials.
