#14-3678 21 July 2015 Page 2 of 2 Planning Staff Recommendation The applicant was unable to connect with the neighboring property owners to obtain revised statements of support. Since the application has been on hold for several months, staff mailed new, revised notification post cards to the neighbors within 150’ of the applicant’s property to make them aware that this application will be discussed at Monday’s Council meeting. Staff recommends approval of the average lakeshore setback variance to permit the 19.5’ x 16.5’ screen porch addition and proposed improvements outlined on the plan date‐stamped 07/22/15, subject to the following: 1. The applicant will be required to comply with the MCWD and City Engineer’s recommendations; 2. The applicant will be required to provide an updated survey prior to issuance of any permits for the project which meets all of the City’s survey requirements. COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED Council should consider a motion to adopt or amend the approval resolution as drafted. Should the Council choose to table the application the applicants should be required to sign the request for an additional extension attached as Exhibit G. List of Exhibits: Exhibit A.
