Major qrado changes on a property arc controlled via the <br />permit system as follows: <br />a) 50 cubic yards or less (5 loads) l100.00 staff permit. <br />b) 51-100 cubic yards (majnmum 10 loads) t150.00 staff <br />permi t. <br />c) 101 cubic yards or more *4100.00 *■ Conditional Use Permit. <br />d) Grade changes reviewed by inspection department with new <br />house building permit. <br />If an owner plans to erect a privacy fence along with grade <br />changes, what types of limits or standards are reasc^nabl e"' If <br />standards for privacy fences and fill are established, the code <br />must e):clude accessory structures such as a tennis court and any <br />other structures that require fences of a specific height. <br />Before we discuss proposed amendments of the code, please be <br />advised once again that Council cautions against extensive <br />specific code changes - in other words, the accessory structure <br />code may he more acceptable in its present state. <br />Issues For Consideration: <br />a> If a code change is not proposed, wjould you agree that <br />accessory structures may be located at the front setbacl. <br />line for the specific zoning district and not behind the <br />front line of the principal structure? <br />b) If a code change is not proposed, is the height <br />limitation of 30 feet feasible when determining limits for <br />privacy fences erected on new fill? <br />g) Would you limit the height of a privacy fence (accessory <br />structure) to a specific height? If so w^hat height is <br />reasonable? <br />d) If a privacy fence is to be erected with fill - what <br />limits would you place on grade changes? Would a grade <br />change be acceptable? Would existing grade be reasonable? <br />e) Should privacy fences be allowed in laleshore yards <br />where the principal structure is located 80' from the <br />lakeshore?
