The system shall not be installed in depressions, <br />swales, or drainageways. <br />Information on construction tecliniqucs and procedures for the <br />mound system may be obtained from the Hennepin Soil and Water <br />Conservation District Office in Wayzata. <br />2. Glencoe silty clay loam - Gc: <br />This is a very poorly drained soil occuring in depressions and drain- <br />ageways. The soil may be subject to ponding during wet periods of <br />the year. Installation of any on-site soil absorption systems on <br />soils of this type should be prohibited. The presence of the seasonal <br />watertable at or near the surface would interfer with the proper <br />functioning of an on-site soil absorption system. <br />3. Hamel loam - Ha: <br />This is a poorly drained soil occuring in depressions and drainageways. <br />The maximum level of the seasonal perched watertable is within 1 foot <br />of the surface. Installation of an on-site soil absorption system <br />on this soil is unacceptable. The presence of this watertable will <br />result in the malfunction of the soil absorption system leading to the <br />surfacing of the sewage effluent creating a public health hazard. <br />4. Hayden loam - HbB: <br />This is a well-drained upland soil. The soil is usually never saturated. <br />In many instances this soil is completely acceptable for the in­ <br />stallation of the conventional on-site soil absorption system. The <br />requirements for a system of this t>T)e are as follows: <br />a). Percolation rate - The percolation rate must be faster than 60 <br />minutes per inch. <br />b). ^pth to groundwater or seasonally saturated horizons - For proper <br />functioning of this system the minimum depth to groundwater of <br />seasonally saturated conditions shall be more than 5 feet. <br />c).
