L MINOTES OF A PLANNING C0M4I^|JN MEETING HELD AUGUST 16, 197^PAGE 4 James Boerhave of Bather, Ringrose, Wolsfeld presented the revised drainage plans to the Planning Commission. He ^cplained that there wasn’t much of a change in these plans. There is still ^e same major break. An overflow pipe would be installed which would carry the drainage toward the swanp. Mr. Lyman, a neighbor to the south of the proposed subdivision, was present, ftice again he expressed his concern about the drainage of this area onto his property. There is a potential for a runoff problem, and he was concerned about the possible increased runoff which might be caused by the initial develop ment and future development. Mr. Boeihave explained to him that they had developed collection points and drainage ease ments to take care of this runoff. Mr. Lyman understood that these easements are shown on the map, but he wanted to be assured that they are maintained. nie ^veloper requested that the road to this subdivision be public. He infoimed the Planning Conmission that banks were no longer issuing conventional mortgages on homes with private roads. The Planning Commission requested a written statement to this effect. After considerable discussion, Hake moved, Hosfield seconded, to recommend approval based on the folloi/s: 1. 2. 3. Seme substandard lot widths due to a desire for con servation of the existing wetlands. The understanding that only Lots 5, 6, and 7, Block 1, will have lake access. The request is for a public road with a 60' right of way (conditioned on the review and approval of the City Engineer and Attorney). Subject to: 1. 2, 3. City Engineer's approval of drainage plans. City and County approval of access locations for the proposed street (and also for access to Lot 1, Block 3, when a residence is proposed for that site). Submission of final plats for approval and payment of a park dedication fee. Motion - Ayes (5), Nays (0). No one from the Park Gun Club was in attendance to present their application. Hake moved, Woolley seconded, to table this application until the next meeting and that staff send a letter to the Park Gun Club requesting a representative appear and suggesting that it is to their advantage to present their own case for approval of their conditional use permit, ftotion - Ayes (5), Nays (0).
