Orono City Council approved a resolution in 2020 in support of vacating the unused <br />land. The land does not serve a public purpose and does not have a use for city services. Staff <br />recommends approval of the proposed vacation. <br /> <br />DNR Comments <br />The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has reviewed the vacation request and provided <br />comments (Exhibit G). They support the vacation. <br /> <br />Public Comments <br />We have received a few phone calls/emails from the public requesting more information about the <br />proposal. To date, no public comments have been received. <br /> <br />Issues for Consideration <br />1. Does this request follow the Comprehensive Plan? <br />2.
