Pay: Increase pay ranges by 2% effective January 1 and by an additional 1% <br />effective July 1 . <br />2. Insurance Contribution: S25.00 per month increase to a maximum contribution of <br />$370.00 per month. <br />Compensation Adjustment Criteria <br />An outline of the criteria on which pay and insurance adjustments are generally based is as follows: <br />A. Pay Adjustment Criteria <br />1 . Cost of living increase <br />a.US consumer price index: annualized increase from October '98 to <br />October '99 is 2.8% <br />Minneapolis/St. Paul consumer price index: annualized increase <br />from the first half of 1998 to the first half of 1999 (July '98 to July <br />*99) is 2.6% <br />2. Market comparison <br />a Comparable cities both in the Lake area and throughout the Metro <br />area are considering pay adjustments for 2000 of 3.0%. <br />As additional background, the Police Officer bargaining unit is working under a 2 year agreement <br />for 1999/2000 that provides for a 2%/l% pay increase.
