Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Engineer’s Report <br />Item Description: St. Edward's Church Sanitary Sewer and Water Service <br />An agreement between the Cities of Orono and Plymouth for the provision of sanitary sewer and <br />water service to St. Edward's Church is attached. This agreement has been approved by the <br />Plymouth City Council. This agreement is similar to the agreements that Plymouth has with other <br />neighbonr.c cities. Per this agreement St. Edward's Church will be billed directly from the City <br />of Plymovtii for sewer and water service. We are recommending Council approval of this <br />agreement. <br />St. Edward's Church has requested to be assessed for Orono's costs for this project. The Church <br />has been billed for the construction and engineering costs to extend the sanitary sewer and <br />watermain from the Plymouth systems across North Femdale Road to the their property line. <br />These costs are $13,993. They have signed an assessment waiver agreeing to be assessed for these <br />costs over a five year period at a 6.5% interest rate. The City of Plymouth will be assessing their <br />connection charges to the Church over a five period at 8% interest. These costs are approximately <br />$31,000 for five SAC units. The Church will pay the MCES charge for five SAC units directly <br />to Orono. We are recommending approval of the attached assessment roll for St. Edward's <br />Church. <br />COUNCIl, ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve "Agreement for Joint Usage of Sanitary Sewer and Water Facilities Cities of <br />Orono and Plymouth" for St. Edward's Church, 865 Ferndale Road North. <br />Motion to approve resolution adopting the assessment roll for St. Edward's Church Sanitary <br />Sewer and Water Service.
