213944v6 <br />10.3 The time an employee spends attending training during their scheduled shift, approved by <br />the Employer shall be considered working hours for the purpose of computing wages and <br />other benefits provided by this Agreement. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 11 – WORK SCHEDULES <br /> <br />11.1 The sole authority in work schedules is the Employer. The normal regular work day shall <br />be eight (8) hours. The normal work week for Public Works Employees shall be forty (40) <br />hours Monday through Friday. Public Works normal scheduled work hours are from 7:00 <br />a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The normal work week for Parks Employees shall be forty (40) hours <br />Monday through Sunday. <br /> <br />11.2 Rest breaks are provided one (1) 15 minute in break in the first half of the scheduled 8- <br />hour work shift and one (1) 15 minute in the second half of the eight (8) hour shift. Breaks <br />shall be taken near location the employee is currently working. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 12 – OVERTIME PAY <br /> <br />12.1 Overtime is defined for Public Works Employees as all hours in excess of forty (40) hours <br />per week Monday – Friday; all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday and all hours worked <br />on a non-weekend holiday. Overtime is defined for Parks Employees as all hours in excess <br />of forty (40) hours per week Monday – Sunday; all hours worked on a non-weekend <br />holiday. Overtime shall be paid at one and one half (1-1/2) times employee’s regular rate <br />of pay. <br /> <br />12.2 All hours on in pay status in excess of (40) hours per week, employees have the option to <br />use this time as compensatory time. <br /> <br />12.3 Compensatory Time: Accumulated compensatory time limit is forty (40) hours. Prior to <br />December 31st of each year, an employee must cash out all but 20 hours of compensatory <br />time and those remaining hours not cashed remain available for use in the following <br />year. <br /> <br />12.4 All Employees may be required to work overtime as defined in Article 12. All Overtime <br />hours shall be distributed equally. <br /> <br />ARTICLE 13 – ON-CALL / CALL BACK PAY <br /> <br />13.1 Public Works employees designated by their supervisor to serve in an “On-Call” status on <br />behalf of the City shall receive one (1) hour per weekday Monday through Friday and six <br />(6) hours per weekend day Saturday and Sunday (for a total of 17 hours) regular base pay. <br />Employees designated “On-Call” on recognized holidays shall receive seven and a half <br />(7.5) hours regular base pay. <br /> <br />13.2 Employees who are called in to work, and physically report to work, during off-shift hours <br />will be entitled to a minimum of two (2) hours pay at the applicable rate.
