r ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING COUNCIL MEETING <br />MINUTES FOR SEPTEMBER 13, 1999 <br />5EP 2 7 '1799ROLL <br />CITY OF OHONCf <br />The Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present; Mayor <br />Gabriel Jabbour, Council Members Charles Kelley, Richard Flint, Bob Sansevere, and Barbara <br />Peterson. Representing Staff were City Admiivstrator Ron Moorse, Public Services Director <br />Greg Gappa, City Attorney Tom Barrett, Senior Planning Coordinator Michael Gaffron, City <br />Engineer Tom Kellogg, Zonirig Administrator/Planner Paul Weinberger and Recorder Lanette <br />Wolf. Mayor Jabbour called the meeting to order at 7;00 p m. <br />(#1) RECOGNITION OF MIKE BYRNES, RESOLUTION NO. 4342 <br />Moorse read a resolution of appreciation to Mike Byrnes for his efl'orts in support of the <br />community and the Orono Police Department. <br />Kelley moved, Peterson seconded, a motion to adopt Resolution No. 4342, a Resolution <br />of Appreciation to Mike Byrnes for his Support of Public Safety Activities in the <br />Community. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Jabbour presented a framed copy of the resolution to Mr Bynies and thanked him for his <br />support of public safety activities in the community <br />(#2) CONSENT AGENDA <br />Item 3 was removed from the Consent Agenda and items 5, \ 7, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, <br />18, and 20 were added to the Consent Agenda. <br />Flint moved, Sansevere seconded, a motion to approve the Consent Agenda as <br />amended. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />(#3) REGULAR MEETING OF AUGUST 23. 1999 <br />Flint referred to the Mayor/Council Report on page 12 of the minutes He said that the firs <br />sentence of the second paragraph should read as follows: <br />“Jabbour reported that he and Mr. Flint met with Hennepin Parks; Peter Johnson, a resident of <br />Mound; and A1 Vogal, Director of Waterways, Freight and Railroads for Mn/DOT, to ^?din a <br />better understanding of what might happen with the railroad ” <br />Flint moved, Kelley seconded, to approve the Minutes of the Regular City Council <br />meeting of August 23,1999, as amended. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />Page 1
