A REVISED RESOLUTION RELATING TO <br />PARKING RESTRICTIONS ON <br />SHADYWOOD ROAD (COUNTY ROAD 19) <br />THIS RESOLUTION, passed this 13th day of September, 1999, by the City of <br />Orono in Hennepin County, Minnesota. The Municipal corporation shall hereinafter be called the <br />"City", WITNESSETH: <br />WHEREAS, Hennepin County has jurisdiction over County Road 19, also known <br />as Shadywood Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the "City" and Hennepin County have concerns regarding traffic safety <br />caused by vehicles parking in wide shoulder/tuming lanes on County Road 19 north of the Lake <br />Minnetonka Narrows Bridge; and <br />r <br />WHEREAS, on June 28, 1999 the City Council approved resolution No. 4316 <br />requesting that Hennepin County install and maintain "No Parking signs on both sides of County' <br />Road 19, Shadywood Road, on the north side of the Lake Minnetonka Narrows Bridge for the entire <br />length of the wide shoulder/tuming lanes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS THEREBY RESOLVED, that the "City" requests <br />that Hennepin County revise the "No Parking" signs that have been installed on both sides of County <br />Road 19, Shadywood Road, on the north side of Lake Minnetonka Narrows Bridge. The "No <br />Parking" signs along the northbound side of the road will remain in place to restrict parking along <br />the entire wide shoulder/tuming lane. The "No Parking" signs along the southbound side of the road <br />will be revised to begin the "No Parking" area 100 feet south of the beginning of the wide <br />shoulder/tuming lanes to provide for parking along the first 100 feet of this area. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held <br />September 13, 1999. <br />Gabriel Jabbour, Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
