To: <br />From: <br />City of Orono <br />Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners <br />110 Grand Ave. S. <br />Wayzata,MN 55391 <br />Contact Person: LaDonna Hoy, Executive Director <br />473-2436 <br />Re:Request for Funding for the Year 2000 <br />Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners (lOCP) requests a grant of $5,000 from the <br />City of Orono to help subsidize its services for Orono residents in the year 2000. <br />lOCP’s service continuum available for Orono residents includes but is not limited to: <br />Emergency Services - information, referral, advocacy, food, clothing, shelter, financial <br />assistance with housing, transportation, medical and other life needs. <br />Family Services Program - intensive and extended advocacy, support and subsidy for <br />families pursuing employment upgrade and other long term goals. <br />Welfare to Work Services - customized case management support and services for <br />MFIP-S clients in pursuit of transition goals. <br />Job Services - onsite and offsite job services for unemployed and underemployed <br />families and individuals. <br />Homebuyer Assistance - information, counsel, referral, advocacy, and financial <br />assistance with homebuyer opportunities. <br />Transportation - rides to critical services, such as medical, educational, employment, <br />counseling, court, legal, etc. <br />Independence Day - a program which makes used cars available for residents \^o need <br />a car to find and keep a job. financial assistance with car maintenance and repairs. <br />Holiday Help - help with holidays and notal events - Piaster, Thanksgiving and <br />Christmas, birthdays, new baby layette fumiture/equipment. <br />Children’s Programs - help with back-to-school needs, camp scholarships, linkages <br />with recreational and enrichment opportunities, Cargill/IOCP bookshelf. <br />1
