As
you can see, we continued our busy pace over the months of April, May and June.
Some highli^ts for the quarter include:
Commanity Night Out - On June 19, we “hosted ” a conummity night out We took all of
our vehicles and went to different areas of the community and simply spent time with our
Guests. I am pleased to report that this was a great success! We took the time to meet our
Guests and, as appropriate, we gave them reflective numbers to identify their undress. In
many cases, we actually put the number on the mailbox at the homeowner ’s direction.
Because of the success we had, we plan io do this once a year.
New Utility Truck - During L'»ie April, we took delivery on the new Utility Truck, “Lftility
11”. The truck is equipped with both fire fighting and rescue equipment It carries a icum of
four and will be used in a variety of incidents, including car accidents and small fires. In
addition, the newly determined standard apparatus color, red, shines brightly on this vehicle!
Engine 12 - Engine 12 went m for updating in mid June. We expect foe truck to be back by
early August While there are many updates to foe vdiicle, some essential modifications
include new red paint and foe installation of foam on foe vehicle.
Thank you, in advance, for your continued partnership.
Sincerely,
Steve Persian
Fire Cbiefi Long Lake Volunteer Fire Department
Prevention Through Community biteraction
