Thomas J Lunieski
1020 Townline Rd.
Orono, Mn 55359
n f-. i-"o
July 1,1999
City of Orono
2650 Kelley Parkway
Orono, Mn 55356
Dear Sir or Madam;
Regarding the matter of the closing of Townline Road at the intersection of highway 12. My self and
my wife are in favor of option #1 - the closure of Townline on Highway 12. We feel the peace and quiet
that would result is worth the minor inconvenience that would accompany the closing.
1 did not understand con #3 for option #1 - the cost of maintenance and “reconstruction” would be
borne by the city and Townline residents. Why would the road have to be “reconstructed"? It is fine as it
is. Yes there would be ongoing maintenance costs but the road would not be heavily u^. Are any
maintenance costs available? I would be Interested in seeing what are the projected yearly
maintenance costs and among how many famiiies would these costs be spread.
Sincerely,
Thomas J Lunieski
Janice P Wahl
