Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Engineer’s Report <br />Item Description: Concept Development PlaiTor Navarre Playground Improvements <br />The Parks Commission has obtained a proposal from DSU Landscape Architects for a Concept <br />Development Plan for improvements to the Navarre Playground and Municipal Parking Lot. Over <br />the past six months, there have been several meetings with the Mayor, City Council members, <br />Parl« Commission members, neighborhood residents, and City staff to discuss improvements in <br />this area. The consensus is that improvements to this park and parking lot area are needed. <br />The Parks Commission reviewed this proposal, at their July 8th meeting, and recommends City <br />Council approval of this proposal for preparation of a Concept Development Plan for the Navarre <br />Playground area. The proposed cost for these items is $3,500 for the park plan, and $4,500 for <br />the parking lot plan. <br />We are recommending Council approval of this proposal from DSU Landscape Archit<*vts. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to accept the proposal from DSU Landscape Architects for a Concept Development Plan <br />for Navarre Playground improvements to be funded using Park Dedication Fees, and to approve <br />a budget adjustment to reflect the $3,500 expenditure from the Park Fund. <br />Motion to accept the proposal from DSU Landscape Architects for a Concept Development Plan <br />for the Navarre Municipal Parking Lot to be funded from the engineering account of the General <br />Fund, and to approve a budget adjustment to reflect the $4,500 expenditure.
