Joel Seitz
March 31,1999
Page 2
Your letter suggests that the Armstrongs would agree to such assessments at such time the
homestead property is developed. Perhaps a middle ground could be reached, as follows:
In the event of a special assessment for improvements to North Arm Lane, the City
would defer the assessment on the Armstrong homestead property until such time as
the property is subdivided or sold.
4.The City will accept deeds of conveyance from the Haglunds, Smiths and Sladeks for road
access to North Arm Drive. The Haglund dedication would appear on the formal plat as a
public road dedication.
The deferral proposal has not been presented to the City Council, but if your clients find it to be an
acceptable alternative, we would propose this solution to Council at their April 12 meeting. The
Council has been made aware of the otht. facets of your proposal and has not indicated any
problems with them.
Please call me if you have any questions (249-4600). I hope your clients find this proposal
acceptable.
Michael P.
