However, the Administrative Policy is silent as to any payout of accumulated sick <br />leave as severance pay to regular part-time employees. It is recommended the policy be clarified to <br />provide that all regular employees with a minimum of three years of service who resign in good <br />standing shall receive payment of accrued vacation and one-third of their accumulated sick leave as <br />severance pay. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve an amendment to Section 318. Severance of the City's Administrative Policy to <br />provide that all regular employees with a minimum of three years of service who resign in good <br />standing shall receive payment of accmed vacation to a maximum of 240 hours, and one-third of <br />their accumulated sick leave as severance pay.
