II. Summary and Recommendations <br />The construction of sanitary sewer to serve the Webber Hills area is feasible from an engineering <br />standpoint. The project is necessary because of the relatively small lot sizes and potential pollution <br />problems. The capital cost as well as operation and maintenance costs have been considered in <br />determining that the project is cost effective. The cost of these improvements are interrelated and <br />should be assigned equitably between all properties. The following reconunei dations are presented <br />for consideration by the Orono City Council: <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />That this Report be adopted as the guide for installation of saiiitary sewer in the <br />Webber Hills area. <br />That the City conduct a legal and fiscal review of the proposed project prior to the <br />public hearing. <br />That a public hearing be held on the proposed improvements. The total estimated <br />project cost of $610,000 should be incorporated in the public notice. <br />There are 37 units proposed to be assessed for the trunk and lateral improvements. <br />Webber Hills Sanitary Sewer Improvements
