The proposal would require variances from allowed <br />hardcover in the 75-?‘'0’ setback from the Ordinary High Water Level (OHWL) of Lake Minnetonka, <br />and to permit raising the roof of the existing house. Presently, the house is a 1 1/2 story structure <br />that, as proposed, would be expanded to a full 2 story house. Overall height of the residence would <br />be increased 6 1/2' within the Average Lalceshore Setback and 0-75' lakeshore setback. <br />Staff is requesting prior to issuing a building permit, the applicants provide a drdnage plan that is <br />acceptable to City Staff showing the proposed development will not pose a risk to the Shaw's or <br />adjacent property owners. <br />This application requires the following variances: <br />1.Section 10.22, Subd. 2 and Section 10.56, Subd. 16 (L)t2); To allow 2,406.64 s.f. (51.14%) <br />of hardcover in the 75-250' lakeshore setback, where 719.45 s.f. (15.3%) exists and 1,169.5 <br />s.f. (25%) is allowed, and to allow a revised building plan within the 0-75' lakeshore setback. <br />2.Section 10.56, Subd. 16(C)(6): Average Lakeshore Setback: No principal or accessory <br />structure shall be located closer to the lakeshore than the aver, .ge distance from the shoreline <br />of existing residence buildings on adjacent lots. The average lakeshore setback line shall be <br />a straight line connecting the most lakeward protrusions of the residence buildings on the <br />immediately adjacent lakeshore lo*s. <br />I
