March 16,1999 RECEIVED
MAR 1 6 1999
City of Orono
P.O. Box 66
Crystal Bay, MN 53323
Cl iY uf OSOWO
Attn: Michael P. Gaffron
RE: 465/485 Orono Orchard Rd
Dear Mike,
I am writing as a follow-up to our previous request for permission to hook the properties
referenced above to the city’s sewer system. Attached to this letter is the additional testing as
requested.
S-P Testing Inc. reviewed site #3 (which is just north of the driveway) and determined that it is
not a suitable site. They also reviewed site #2 (just northeast of the main house), and determined
that that would be a suitable site.
As stated in my previous letter dated February 9,1999, and in conversat.ouS with the city council
on February 8,1999, site U2 presents problems in that it is very near the house and several large
trees would have to be removed. I also do not believe that this is a long-term solution for this
property, and that the ability to connect to the city’s sewage system would in fact be a long-term
solution.
I have spoken to Mr. Hamm regarding the issue of restricting any additional subdivision of the
property beyond the three residents that currently exist, and he is agreeable to this restriction.
Please feel free to contact me at (612) 893-8821.
Sincerely,
Bruce Palmer
'
,
I
