The City's consulting landscape architect/planner has reviewed the landscape plan and makes <br />several recommendation is his memo dated February 26, 1999. He recommended that the <br />subdivider allocate $45,000 for the landscaping plan based on the number of units and the size of <br />the development area. As part of the subdivider's agreement, the City will require a letter of <br />credit for $419,868 for site improvements, $52,050 for Livingston Avenue's extension and <br />$45,000 for landscaping, for a total of $516,918. <br />The subdivider is required to pay $72,626 prior to final approval of the fmal plat. <br />Wetland Restoration <br />Staff has sent the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD), Department of Natural <br />Resources (DNR), and the Army Corps of Engineers the preliminary plat plans and asked for <br />comments and recommendations regarding restoration of the wetland. Ceil Strauss, DNR area <br />hydrologist is meeting with City staff on Monday, March 8th to liscuss this issue. Staff will <br />update the City Council about this meeting at the City Council meeting Monday night. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED:
