9-08-1995 1 :23R1 FR011 WAYZATA PUBLIC WORKS 612 404 9417 P. 2
Tom O’Keefe, P.E.
Ms. Patti Loken. P.E.
February 17.1999
Page 2
e. The Woodhill Country Club and the Wayzata Country Club have written letters to
the City, copies of which were previously submitted to you, which outline their
respective concerns. The City of Wayzaia is supportive of their concerns as well.
3. Although not listed as a reason before, we have had numerous conversations and letters
about the need to improve the on-ramp to eastbound Highway 12 from the eastern portion
of the City. Currently this presents a dangerous situation and additional traffic from Ae
Highway 12 improvement ’.vithout remedying the on-ramp situation may be disastrous.
We would like to see this situation remedied as a part of the project.
The City is very concerned about the costs and upfront money necessary to purchase land and begin the
construction process of the public works facility well in advance of the actual relocation of the facility.
More than an agreement will be necessary. Tne City 'Adll need upfront acquisition monies for land so
that it can move forward, unless MnDOT is willing to provide land to the City.
The City of Wayzata looks forward to working with Mn/DOT to accomplish these concerns. We ask that
you address a remedy for the existing on-ramp access problem at the east end of Wayzata and provide
the City with the necessary agreement and funds before we go any further with the TH 12 project.
Sincerely,
Barry Petit, Mayor
Allan Orsen, City Manager
