Foster stated he believed this should be footnoted in the Historical <br />Trend Chart. Figure 2, and on the pie chart that breaks down Aggregate <br />Boat Sources. <br />Babcock noted one difference in the Report this year is that boats <br />associated with licensed homeowners associations have been separated <br />from riparian homeowners. He stated he believed this separation of data <br />could be beneficial in trend analysis in the future. <br />McMillan questioned how this survey compares to past years. <br />Jeffrey reviewed the Historical Trend Table noting that maximum number <br />of boats observed was 1.550 and the average number of boats observed was <br />1.097. She stated maximum munbers of boats observed are down from past <br />years due to the scheduled flight on the July 4th weekend being <br />scrapped. She noted the numbers observed on this weekend in previous <br />reports were generally around 2.i <br />Foster stated the flight scrapped on the July 4th weekend has great <br />significance and should be properly footnoted on the Historical Trend <br />Table. <br />McMillan stated it might be appropriate from a statistical standpoint to <br />throw out the highest and lowest numbers of boats counted. <br />Jeffrey stated she believed that would need to be checked with Tim <br />Kelly, a MN DNR Planner, who assisted in this project. <br />Foster stated the District has accumulated a good collection of data and <br />trends over the years from these surveys. He suggested the District <br />might want to consider further analysis of this data and trends <br />collected.
