REQUESTING CONVEYANCE OF TAX <br />FORFEIT LAND FOR PUBLIC USE <br />BY THE CITY OF ORONO <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono is a municipal corporation organized and existing <br />under the laws of the State of Minnesota; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute 282, the City has received from <br />Hennepin County a list of lands within the City which have become the property of the State of <br />Minnesota for non-payment of real estate taxes; and <br />WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners have classified said <br />lands as conservation land and have authorized the sale of each such parcel of land subject to review <br />and release by the City; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed said lands for compliance with local <br />zoning ordinances, for the amount of outstanding special assessment remaining unpaid to the City, <br />and/or for possible public use by the City as authorized by the statutes. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of <br />Orono, pursuant to Minnesota Statute Section 282.01, Subdivision 1, hereby applies to the Hennepin <br />County Board of Commissioners and to the Commissioner of Revenue for conveyance of the <br />following tax forfeited land to the City for public use by the City of Orono. <br />PARCELS RETAINED FOR USE BY THE CITY <br />District <br />38 <br />P.I.D. <br />05-117-23-24-0082 <br />Public Purpose <br />drainage and conservation <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting <br />held the 8th day of February, 1999. <br />ATTEST: <br />Linda S.
