COUNCM MEET)*3 <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION JAN 5 1999 <br />CITY Oh ORON J <br />Date: January 15,1999 <br />Item No: | ”7 <br />Department Approval:Administrator Reviewed: <br />Name: <br />Title: <br />Gary Cheswick <br />Chief of Police 7 <br />Agenda Section: <br />Item Description: Hiring of Part-Time "On-Call" Community Service Officer <br />Exhibits:None <br />DISCUSSION <br />The position for a part-time Community Service Officer has become available with Matt <br />Hagen's inability to be the night call-out person Monday through Friday. <br />Mr. Robert Stevens, who has law enforcement experience and is a resident of the area, <br />has submitted an application for the position and is available for the needed time period. <br />Because of his interest, and a need to have this position filled, I am recommending Mr. Stevens <br />be hired as a part-time on-call Community Service Officer. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Request Robert Stevens be hired as a part-time on-call Community Service Officer with <br />an hourly rate of $8.53, with no benefits or PERA membership based on the $5100.00 maximum <br />earnings stipulation, effective January 26, 1999.
