1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />4. <br />5. <br />6. <br />DECISION PROCESS AND TIMING REGARDING <br />THE APPROVAL OF THE PRELIMINARY DESIGN <br />October 28, 1999: MNDot submitted preliminary layout plans for Highway 12. <br />MNDot is required to hold a public hearing regarding the layout phms not less than 90 nor <br />more than 120 days after submittal of the layout plan. <br />Monday February 22, 1999, 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. MNDot will hold a public hearing <br />regarding the preliminary layout plans. Tlie public hearing will be held at St. George's <br />Church in Long Lake and will be an Open House-style hearing. <br />Within 180 days of the public hearing. MNDot will formally adopt a layout plan and will <br />submit it to each municipality and agency for approval. During the period between <br />MNDot's submittal of the layout plan (October 28,1 99m) and 180 days following the MNDot <br />hearing (approximately August 30, 1999), MNDot will incorporate changes agreed to with <br />the communities into the adopted layout plan. <br />Approximately August 30, 1999: The latest date by which MNDot will formally adopt a <br />layout plan. <br />Within 120 days of receipt of the adopted layout, each municipality and agency will submit <br />to the Commissioner its approval or disapproval of the layout plan and the reasons for such <br />disapproval, and any proposed alternatives. <br />Following the submission of the approval or disapproval of the Cities and agencies, there is <br />an opportunity for MNDot to resubmit the layout with modifications or to invoke an appeal <br />board or an arbitration process if there are disapprovals.
