renewed service as a part of a region-wide alternative light-rail transportation <br />system. The main rail line through northern Orono has immediate potential for <br />providing direct rail freight service to the Orono Industrial Park should such <br />service ever be desired by one or more of the industries located there. <br />The proposed recreational trail system offers alternative transportation <br />facilities. The complete bike-hike and recreational trail system is described in <br />Chapter 8 and is shown on Map No. 16.
