William Lurton - Resolution <br />Mr. H. William Lurton owns 38.6 acres of property on the western shore of Lake Classen at 3580 <br />Wayzata Boulevard West. He is donating the land to the City to enable it to be preserved as a natural <br />passive environmental park. A portion of the land is to be acquired by Mr/DOT as right-of-way for <br />the Highway 12 upgrade project. The proceeds from the sale of the property to Mn/DOT are to be <br />used to maintain and improve the park. <br />The deed for the property will include a set of restrictive covenants to ensure the property' is <br />preserved as Mr. Lurton desires. An outline of the restrictive covenants is attached. A resolution <br />accepting the donation and acknowledging the generosity of Mr. Lurton is attached for Council <br />adoption. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to adopt a resolution accepting the donation of the land at 3580 Wayzata Boulevard West <br />from Mr. H. V/illiam Lurton, and accepting the restrictive covenants and acknowledging the future <br />sale of a i..ortion of the property' to Mn/DOT as right-of-way for the Highway 12 upgrade project.
