DEC 1 8 2000 <br />L/i» I '-^r v-rnw#^v^ <br />REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: December 15,2000 <br />ITEM NO’ 7 <br />Department Approval:Administrator Reviewed:Agenda Section: <br />Name Ron Moorse City Administrator ’s <br />Thie City Administrator Report <br />Item Description: Land Purchase - 340 Willow Drive North <br />The Council at its December 7, 2000 work session, authorized staff to negotiate a purchase <br />agreement for the acquisition of the 6-acre parcel at 340 Willow Drive Nortli at a erst of $385,000. <br />The property is to be used either as a site for the new Long Lake fire station or as a site for <br />approximately 12 units of moderately priced single family homes. <br />The final purchase price was negotiated at $390,000, along with approximately $2,000 in closing <br />costs. The closing is to be scheduled prior to the end of 2000. A budget adjustment is needed to <br />reflect this expenditure. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve a budget adju.'^tment in the General Fund to reflect the expenditure of $392,000 <br />for the purchase of the property at 340 Willow Drive North. <br />4'
