Fee Schedule adoption was tabled
pending further review. In addition to the Park Fee changes, the proposed 2001 Fee Schedule now
incorporates proposed increases in golf course fees requested by the Golf Course Manager this week.
I.Residential Park Fee
The first Park Dedication Fee entry on page 1 of the Summary Ordinance states:
“The City has established by resolution a
minimum residential park fee of $3,100 per
dwelling unit and a ma.xiraum of $5,300 per
acre.
This is incorrect. These fees are both per dwelling unit, and the “per acre” was a typo. The maximum
should be $5,300 per dwelling unit. This has now been corrected (see Exhibit C).
The second issue raised regarding the lesidential fee is the dollar amount and its justification. The
$3100-$5300 fees have been in effect for one year per the 2000 Fee Schedule. The Park Fee
Ordinance adopted 4-13-98 states that the City will ‘periodically’ establish a minimum and
maximum park dedication amount per dwelling unit based on an updated projection of the cost of
the City’s park system, and the proportionate share of tliis projected cost to be borne by new dwelling
