:.v ‘ <br />t <br />p <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.25, SUBDIVISION 6 (B) <br />FILE NO. 2628 <br />WHEREAS, Roger A. Anderson (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner of the <br />property located at 2200 Shadywood Road within the City of Orono (hereinafter "the City") and <br />legally described as follows: <br />Lot 13, Block 1, “Wiley’s .^ark ” Lake Minnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesota, <br />(hereinafter "the property"), and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a variance to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.25, Subdivision 6(B) to permit new residential construction on a 0.38 <br />acre lot where 0.5 acre is required i\nd having a lot width of 52 feet where 100 feet is <br />required. <br />Minnesota: <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RES0L\T:D by the City Council of Orono, <br />F.^NDINGS <br />ir <br />1. <br />2. <br />3. <br />This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2628. <br />The property is located in fie LR-IC Single Family Lakeshore Residential <br />Zoning District requiring .5 acre in area. The property consists of .38 acres. <br />The Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application on October 16, 2000 <br />and recommended approval of the proposed variance based upon the following <br />findings: <br />A.The property has been developed with a residential use since at least <br />1965. <br />B.The site plan indicates the proposed setbacks 10' to the side property <br />lines and the house would be outside of the 75' lakeshore setback. The <br />entire house would be located approximately 150' from the lakeshore, <br />which meets the intent of the Comprehensive Plan for new structures. <br />Page 1 of 4
