Gappa <br />Title Director of Public Services <br />Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />I ^ Public Services's Directors Report <br />Item Description: Assessment for Hazardous Tree Removal Resolution <br />The City ordered removal of a large dead hazardous tree at 1540 North Arm Drive under the <br />provisions of Section 9.55 of the Orono City Code, 'fhis code section regulates the maintenance of <br />private property and allows the City to completed ordered actions if not completed by the property <br />owner and then to assess these costs againsi the property ’. Because of financial hardship reasons, the <br />property owner did not complete the tree removal. The City then had Dalhke Tree Service remove <br />the tree. The property owner has requested that the assessment be for a three-year term instead of the <br />normal one year term for delinquent fees. <br />The assessment interest rate will be 8%.
