! <br />f ■ • <br />■t'- <br />A RESOLUTION GRANTING VARIANCES TO ORONO MUNICIPAL <br />ZONING CODE SECTION 10.03, SUBDIVISION 14 (C); SECTION 10.22, <br />SUBDIVISIONS 2 AND 1 (B); SECTION 10.24, SUBDIVISION 5 (B); SECTION <br />10.56, SUBDIVISIONS 16 (C) (6) AND 16 (L) (2) <br />FILE NO. 2619 <br />WHEREAS, Paul Aasen and Denise Aascn (hereinafter the "applicants") are <br />owners of property located at 577 Park Lane in the City of Orono (hereinafter the "City") <br />and legally described as follows: <br />Lot 12, Block 6, Minnetonka Summit Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter <br />the "property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicants have applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.22, Subdivision 2 and Section 10.56, Subdivision 16 (L) (2) to <br />permit 3,170 s.f. (55.1%) hardcover in the 75-250’ lakeshore setback, where 3,349 s.f. <br />(58.2%) exists and 1,436.5 s.f. (25%) is allowed; Section 10.24, Subdivision 5 (B) to pennit <br />a structural addition 6' from the north property line where 10' is required; Section 10.03, <br />Subdivision 14 (C) to permit structural coverage greater than 1,500 s.f. where 1,881 s.f. of <br />structure exists and 1,881 s.f. has been requested; and Section 10.56, Subdivision 16 (C) <br />(6) and Section 10.22, Subdivision 1 (B) to permit an encroachment into the average <br />lakeshore setback for the family room addition where the deck is located and to allow <br />improvements to the screen porch. <br />WHEREAS, the Orono Planning Commission reviewed this application at a <br />public hearing held on September 18, 2000; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1.
