A RESOLUTION GRANTING A VARIANCE <br />TO MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.27. SUBDIVISION 5(B), <br />FILE NO. 2597 <br />WHEREAS, Dennis M. Krump, (hereinafter "the applicant") is the owner of the <br />property located at 25 Stubbs Bay Road North within the City of Orono (hereinafter "the City") and <br />legally described as follows: <br />That part of the Southwest quarter of Section 32, Township 118 North, Range 23 <br />West of the Fifth Principal Meridian described as follows: Beginning at a point on <br />the East line of said Southwest quarter distant 264 feet North of the Southeast comer <br />of said Southwest quarter; thence North along said east line a distance of 66 feet; <br />therce deflecting to the left 103 degrees a distance of 90 feet; thence reflecting to the <br />left 56 degrees to a line drawn parallel with the South line of said Southwest quarter <br />from the point of beginning; thence Easterly along said line to the point of beginning, <br />Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereinafter "the property"); and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for a variance to Municipal Zoning <br />Code Section 10.27, Subdivision 5 (B) to allow a front yard setback of 42' where 100' is required and <br />a side yard setback of 24.2' where 50' is required to permit an addition to the existing residence. <br />WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono Planning <br />Commission held a public hearing on July 17,2000, at which time all persons desiring to be heard <br />concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Minnesota: <br />FINDINGS <br />1 .This application was reviewed as Zoning File #2597. <br />2.This property is located in the RR-1A Zoning District, where 5 acres is the minimum <br />lot area.
