The due date was <br />established as the end of 1998 for all cities. Metropolitan Council has granted a number of <br />extensions of the due date at the City Council’s request. June 30,2000 is the most recent deadline <br />which expires as I write this memo. <br />I have discussed this matter with our Met Council sector rep, Phyllis Hanson. The City needs to <br />request a 60*day extension to August 31,2000. Unless something unexpected occurs, I believe the <br />draft plan will ^ ready for submittal to Met Council by this date. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Adopt the attached resolution lequesting an extension of the due date for completion of Orono's <br />Comprehensive Plan update to August 31,2000. <br />.V,
