<br /> <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />NO. 7334 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING PARTICIPATION IN THE 2020 STATE BOND <br />FUNDED MUNICIPAL I&I GRANT PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Minnesota Legislature has appropriated funds to the Metropolitan Council for a <br />grant program to be administered by the Council for the purpose of providing grants to <br />municipalities for capital improvements to public municipal wastewater collection systems to <br />reduce the amount of inflow and infiltration to the Council’s metropolitan sanitary sewer <br />disposal system (“I/I Municipal Grant Program”); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono submitted an application for grant funds and the Council <br />identified the City as a contributor of excessive inflow and infiltration to the Council’s <br />metropolitan sanitary sewer disposal system and thus an eligible applicant for grant funds under <br />the I/I Municipal Grant Program; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />ORONO that this Council approves participation in the Municipal I&I Grant Program with the <br />Metropolitan Council. <br /> <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 23 day of January, 2023, by the City Council of the City of Orono. <br /> <br />CITY OF ORONO <br /> <br />By: _______________________________ <br /> Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />______________________________ <br />Anna Carlson, City Clerk <br /> <br />
