The purpose of this action item is to gain Council approval of a resolution to submit the <br />payment application for the 2020 MCES I&I Grant Program. <br /> <br />2. Background. The State of Minnesota has appropriated funds to the MCES for use in a Municipal <br />I&I reduction grant program. The city of Orono Applied for this grant and was preliminarily allocated <br />$52,450. The grant money will be used to pay for work that was completed as part of the 2021 and 2022 <br />CIPP sewer projects. <br /> <br />3. Requirement. One of the requirements of the program is for the City to pass a resolution authorizing <br />participation in the program. <br /> <br />4. Staff Recommendation.
