The purpose of this action item is to approve Change Order #1 for the Watermain <br />Replacement Project (22-023). <br /> <br />2. Background. At the January 24th, 2022 council meeting Council authorized the design and engineer <br />of a water main replacement project along CSAH 19 south of CSAH 15. Staff and Bolton and Menk <br />prepared designs and solicited bids. The project was awarded in August 2022 and the majority of the <br />work completed in November 2022. <br /> <br />3. Scope of Work. The project consists of the replacement of the water main the runs south along <br />Shadywood Road (CSAH19) from Shoreline (CSAH15) to Maple Ridge Lane. <br /> <br />4. Cost. The cost of Change order #1 is $54,500. A summary of project costs is below. <br /> <br />Who Work Cost <br /> Geislinger & Sons Construction- Award $901,016.00 Awarded <br />Bolton and Menk Design $59,500 Approved as NTE <br />Bolton and Menk Construction Management $54,500 Approved as NTE <br /> Geislinger & Sons Change Order 1 $73,919.36 <br />TOTAL $1,088,935.36 <br /> <br /> <br />5. Funding. Funding for the project will come from a combination of the water fund and ARP Funds <br />received. <br /> <br />Fund Amount Est. 2023 End of Year Fund Balance <br /> Water Fund $ 588,935.36 $102,642 <br /> ARP Funding $500,000 NA <br />Total $1,088,935.36 <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation. I recommend approval of the change Order.
