The <br />information recommended changing the connection charges from a per-unit charge tr, a per-acre <br />charge for the school property, including the ice arena, the 40 acres of property we,;t of Willow <br />guided for medium density residential development, and the 17 acres of property ·.vest of Willow <br />Drive guided for commercial development. <br />Since that meeting, staff has reviewed past assessment projects in the area, and bas determined therear: no past projects that would have an impact on the connection charges. <br />Staff Recommeudation <br />Staff recommends t.'te 1989 Highway 12 Water and Sewer Improvement Project connection charges <br />be revised to provide for a $13,000 per-acre connection charge for the Orono Schools property, <br />including the ice arena, the medium density residential property, and the commercial property. A.'1 <br />ordinance amending the fee schedule ord inance to reflect the revised connection charges is attached <br />for Council consideration. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion to approve an ordinance amending the fee schedule ordinance to revise the connection <br />charges for the 1989 Water and Sewer Improvement Project.
