A RESOLUTION GRANTING <br />VARIANCES TO <br />MUNICIPAL ZONING CODE <br />SECTION 10.61, SUBDIVISIONS 2 (A)(3) <br />FILE #2553 <br />WHEREAS, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (hereinafter "the applicant")is <br />owner of the property located at 3745 Shoreline Drive within the City of Orono (hereinafter <br />"City") and legally described as follows; <br />Lot 5, Block 7 Townsite of Langdon Park, Hennepin County, Minnesota (hereafter “the <br />property”); and <br />WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br />Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono Planning <br />Commission held a public hearing on January 19, 2000, at which times all persons desiring to <br />be heard concerning this application were given the opportunity to speak thereon; and <br />WHEREAS, the applicant has applied to the City for variances to Municipal <br />Zoning Code Section 10.61, Subdivisions 2 (A) (3) to allow placement of a sign 40 s.f. in <br />surface area where no sign is normally allowed to exceed 12 s.f. per surface. <br />Minnesota; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of Orono, <br />Page 1 of 4
