The agreement indicates that either parly may initiate an extension of the agreement for a term <br />of four years by giving the other wxitten notice of its intent to so extend no less than 150 days prior <br />to the termination of this agreement. If the party who receives said notice of intent to extend gives <br />written notice to the other party of its desire not extend within 110 days prior to termination of the <br />agreement, the agreement shall terminate on July 31, 2000. The agreement also indicates that <br />nothing shall preclude the parties, prior to the end of the agreement, from agreeing to extend the <br />contract for a term of four years. The 150 days prior to July 3 1 is March 3. The Council meeting <br />prior to March 3 is on February 28. If the Council needs information to assist it in making a <br />determination regarding an extension of the agreement, staff will provide it as soon as possible. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED: <br />Motion regarding information needed by the Council to assist it in making a determination regarding <br />an extension of the assessment services contract. <br />.1I
