MINUTES OF A ROGUUR MEETING HELn SEPTEMBER 21, 1970 <br />Mr Zubcr represented Jerry StaRcberp, <br />^ in an application to build on Parcels <br />'5610-5620, Section 17, 1920 FaRcrnuss <br />Point Road. <br />It Has brought out a similar application <br />by the former owner was denied last year, <br />since the lot depth would not allow <br />setbacks to bo met and that the lot size <br />would not meet the h-acrc requirements if <br />t^utlands were subtracted from the lots. <br />Mr. Zubcr presented soil tests taken by <br />soil engineers showing what needed to bo <br />done to construct a rosidcnce on the lot. <br />Russell stated that the purpose of our <br />wetlands ordinance was to 1) protect the <br />owner from poor construction and make him <br />aware of construction problems thereon, <br />2) keep swamp areas for the preservation of <br />the lake itself, 3) avoid sewage problems, <br />(embers noted that Mr, Stageborg was aware <br />of item one and that the area was served by <br />municipal sower. They were of the opinion <br />that a house of the quality shown would <br />enhance the neighborhood. !r. Zubcr, when <br />g||quo5tloncd, stated that there were 65' of <br />good lakcshorc on the lots. <br />Kullbcrg moved, Poisson accondud, that the <br />variance bo approved. Motion, Ayes (6) - Nays (0). <br />Page 2 <br />VARIANCE <br />1920 Fagorncss Point Road <br />Marvin Carlson's application for a garage <br />rear-setback variance from the required <br />30* to S' at 2344 Olive Avenue, Lot S, <br />Wiley's Navarre Add,, Parcel 1200, was studied. <br />It was noted that fire hazard of the new <br />garage would be lessened as the present <br />garage is only 3' from the neighbor's <br />garage. Discussion was held on setting <br />a precedent for the whole area. <br />Niello 11s moved, Gascli seconded, that the <br />variance be allowed. Motion, Ayes (S) • <br />Nays (1). Poisson Nay. <br />VARIANCE <br />2344 Olive Avenue <br />The application of Gordon Graber, llon <br />Loma Linda Avenue, to sell his lot as a <br />funding lot was tabled until the next <br />Electing to allow members to view the site. <br />BII.
