Section 10.03, Subd. 9 (F): Accessory Buildings-Plumbing; Installation of any combination of <br />fixtures requiring wastewater plumbing that includes a toilet, shower or bathtub shall be allowed <br />only in an accessory building that is conforming in location, size and height. <br />Application Summary: The applicants have applied for a conditional use permit to allow <br />plumbing in an accessory building. The accessory building will be used as a “work/storage room". It <br />will be detached, 32’ x 60 ’ (1.920 s.f.), and located north of the residence. The work/storage room <br />will be used for personal use and will include a bath room w ith sink and toilet. <br />The property is located in the RR-1A zoning district. The City of Orono allows for the provision of <br />plumbing in accessory buildings that includes a toilet, shower or bathtub. The accessory building is <br />required to be conforming in location, size, and height. The accessoiy building (detached garage) <br />does conform to location, size and height requirements set by code. <br />In September 2002, the applicant applied for a building permit to construct the accessory building. <br />Before a permit was issued setback, size and height requirements were reviewed for conformity. <br />The accessory building meets all setback requirements for the RR-1 A zoning district.
