Mays, Elliott, Poisson, <br />iierfurth. and Councilman Dorn volunteered <br />and appointed Herfurti as Chairnpn. <br />Gascn presented a preliminary report as made <br />by iier committee on the comprehensive sewer <br />study. Drought out was that the placement <br />of the Metro Sewer system would nave great <br />bearing on the priority of placing sewer <br />iu certain areas and t lat t le exact placement <br />of t:ie Metro system would not be kiiovm until <br />later in 1972. Tne study siiowed areas of <br />nriority, beginning with tiic liackbcrry ilill <br />area and finishing tne Saga Hill area. The <br />priority of tne Smiths day area and the <br />Stubbs Hay area would be Jotermined by the <br />placomont of the Metro Sewer. The study <br />also siiov/cd the top nriorities woul* bo <br />I tne simplest and c.ieapest to service but <br />that areas like Stubbs Bay would involve <br />two lines down Tonkawa Road duo to elevations. <br />Tlie study asked tliat tl»e use of federal funds <br />should be explored, since much of t.iis is <br />to sewor lakeshore for wnicn tiicre is a <br />special need. <br />This could be best done by incorporating <br />tne entire sewer area into one project and <br />seeking funding for tie wnole. <br />Anotner study was made of tne Frank Kokosii <br />division on V/atertown Rond.
