"■'S' <br />VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular Ileoting of the Planning Commission, <br />December 6, 1971 <br />Tne Planning Commission met on the above date <br />with the following members present: Chair­ <br />man pro tern Southworth, Butler, Elliott, <br />hays, Herfurtn, Rullberg, Niciiolls, and <br />Ryerse. Absent: Chairman Poisson, Gasch, <br />and Xuhelemeier. Also present: Councilman <br />i)orn. <br />Butler moved, Elliott seconded, that the <br />;!inutes of the last meeting be amended to <br />include a negative vote by liays on the motion <br />made on the density study--the coimt to <br />read 7 Ayes - 2 days. Nicholls and Hays <br />Nay. Kuhleneier abstaining. The motion <br />also to include that members were urging the <br />beginning of the comprehensive planning. <br />■ iotion. Ayes (fl) • Nays (0). <br />Southworth stated he had walked over the <br />entire property at 276S Pox Street,owned by <br />Robert ilielke^tiiis summer and estimated <br />there were three acres of buildablc ground <br />.on the east one-half, being divided off from <br />'the site with the buildings on it. Ryerse <br />and days had also viewed the property and <br />came up wit.i tne same approximation. <br />Butler moved. Hays seconded, that reconmen* <br />dation be made for the approval of the <br />divisioji. ::otion. Ayes (3) - ilays (0). <br />Warren Anderson represented Dorn Builders <br />in a request for a lot size variance for <br />purposes of constructing a new residence on <br />Lot IS, Block 3, Navarre Heights--lot <br />dimensions are SO* X 13S*. <br />Members studied the plat map for density and <br />ascertained that about one-half of the lots <br />in the area were combinations of two lots <br />and one-half were single lots. Butler <br />asked about the price proposed for the new <br />construction and was told abottt $25,000. <br />Elliott was of the opinion that a new house <br />would upgrade the area.
