ir‘ <br />VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular fleeting of the Planning Commission, <br />July 6, 1971 <br />The Planning Commission met on the above <br />date with the following members present: <br />Chairman Poisson, Butler, Elliott, Gasch, <br />Herfurth, Kuhlemeicr, Xtillberg, Nicholls, <br />and Southworth. Absent: Dongoske. <br />William Sween presented a preliminary plat <br />for a division of the Raymond Abrahamson <br />property on North Ferndalc Road explaining <br />that the lots were compatable in size with <br />adjacent Chevy Chase and even property on <br />tlic east side of North Femdale. lie was <br />questioned regarding the two low pockets <br />on the property and he contended they <br />were the result of the sewer project in the <br />area and showed photos of how the land was <br />prior to the project. Ho stated that <br />provisions would be made for overflow and <br />flooding. It was here noted that ho had <br />three sewer services for the property. <br />Sween stated that service would be brought <br />in for the entire project. V/hen asked if <br />he would bring in a final plat for the <br />division if it were approved, he stated he <br />would. On the matter of lot size, ho <br />stated simple economics dictated by the <br />sewer and water assessment forestalled <br />any large lot size. <br />Gasch moved, Nicholls seconded, that ho <br />should bring in a preliminary plat with <br />lot sizes no smaller than one-half acre, <br />lotion. Ayes (7) - Nays(2). Herfurth <br />and Kuhlcmeier Nay. <br />7:30 P.M. <br />¥ <br />DIVISION <br />Raymond Abrahamson <br />North Ferndale Road <br />Messers Braun and Hedlund represented <br />IDS in a presentation of the plans for <br />their land usage in Navarre, explaining <br />that their original intent was to present <br />this in three stages, a stage at a time, <br />but plans changed so they were presenting <br />the entire package. After Planning <br />Commission members voiced tome concern <br />over the compatability of the aims of the <br />project with the ecology of the area and <br />Municipal Ordinance NO. 125, (Wetlands <br />Ordinance), citizens in the audience asked <br />to be heard.
