VILLAGE OF ORONO <br />Regular Meeting of the Planning Conwission, <br />June 7, 1971 <br />The Planning Conaission net on the above <br />date with the following nenbers present: <br />Chairnan Poisson, Butler, Elliott, Gasch, <br />Herfurth, Kuhleneier, Kullberg, Niciiolls, <br />and SoiithwoTth. Absent; Dongoske. <br />Hernan Vanderborght represented hinself on <br />a division o' 2.90 acres fron an 11.92 acre <br />parcel. Parcel 3S60, Section 31. lie explained <br />he was selling all his property but the 2.90 <br />acre parcel which contained his residence; <br />also, that one man was buying all the previous <br />parcels divided off including the remainder <br />after this division. When the natter of the <br />extra O' along Chippewa Lane came up, he <br />stated he would either dedicate the R* or <br />give an easement thereto. <br />Kullberg moved, Southi^orth seconded, to <br />recomnend approval of the division. Motion, <br />Ayes (9) - Nays (0). <br />Lloyd Draper represented hinself in a lot <br />size and frontage variance on Lots 16 and <br />19, Fagerness, explaining that althouth <br />the lots were contiguous, they did not lend <br />themselves to a good combination as they <br />fronted on different streets, iiis plans <br />were to build new hones on both lots and <br />when questioned said they would be for sale. <br />In view of the assessments on both lots <br />and the new assessment coming for water <br />and that service was available to both lots. <br />Kuhlcmeier moved, Nicholls seconded, that <br />approval be recommended, but all setback <br />requirements for construction would have to <br />be met. Motion, Ayes (9) - Nays (0). <br />Attorney Robert llarriman represented ti*e <br />opposition to a proposed street vacaticn <br />of the end 5* of Rest Point Road by presenting <br />a petition of 17 signatures protesting the <br />vacation, and stating that any closing of <br />the above would bring a property-value <br />the beach was an amenity todepreciation as <br />their property.
